How it all Started

KIPLENGE, ANDAMA & MAKAU ADVOCATES LLP traces its roots to the esteemed legacy of its founding partner, the late Mr. Juma Kiplenge, EBS.

The firm, has a rich, deep-seated history in the legal profession marked by continuous growth in experience and client diversity, it has evolved from previous iterations being; Juma Kiplenge & Associates, Kiplenge, Ogola, Mugambi & Company Advocates and Kiplenge & Kurgat Advocates.

In 2019, the late Mr. Juma Kiplenge, EBS, joined forces with Mr. Andama Amos and Mr. Makau Mutiso, both of whom had previously served as Associate Advocates since 2016 and 2017, respectively. Together, they established Kiplenge, Andama & Makau Advocates, with its main office located in Nakuru City and a branch in Narok County.

Following the untimely passing of Mr. Juma Kiplenge, EBS, in October 2022, Mr. Andama and Mr. Makau, fueled by their passion for the profession and in honor of their late partner’s legacy, navigated the firm through this challenging period.

Since its inception, the firm has experienced substantial growth and now boasts a dedicated multicultural staff representing varying ages and nationalities. This unique blend of culture, youth, and experience positions the firm to effectively serve its expanding clientele from diverse sectors of the economy.

One of our proudest achievements is the diverse clientele we serve. Our client base spans industries and sectors, reflecting the breadth of our expertise and the trust reposed in our legal services.

Over the years, the firm’s clientele is extensive and includes individuals, Banks, Microfinance Institutions, Local and International Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Small and Medium Enterprises, Limited Liability Companies, Sole proprietorships and Faith-based Organizations. This diversity has not only broadened our perspective but has also enhanced our ability to tailor our legal solutions to the unique needs of each client.

Noteworthy is the firm’s commitment to the development of legal professionals. Over the years, it has trained a considerable number of Advocates, some of whom have gone on to establish their own legal practices, hold state positions, and contribute significantly to the nation as Judicial Officers within the Judiciary and in reputable organizations across various capacities.
